She has an active, full time shamanic healing practice in Brunswick, Maine and her healing space is inviting, warm, spacious, private and comfortable. If you live far away from Maine, she offers long distance healing services which are generally as effective as working in person.

Dory's training includes having completed a Three-Year Program in Advanced Shamanism and Shamanic Healing with the Foundation for Shamanic Studies. She also has studied with several indigenous shamans and other well known shamans including Tom Cowan, Hank Wesselman, Ailo Gaup, Claude Poncelet, and Nan Moss & David Corbin. He has studied extensively with Sandra Ingerman including in depth works in the practice of Soul Retrieval, an important aspect of helping people return to the wholeness which is their birth right.

She was honored to be accepted into Sandra Ingerman’s Two-Year Teacher Training Program from which she graduated in 2005. As a result of this specialized training, she is now able to offer workshops and apprenticeship programs in advanced shamanic healing and advanced shamanism as well as continuing to offer introductory courses.  Dory is also currently participating in a 4-year practicum in Weather Shamanism under the tutelage and guidance of Nan Moss & David Corbin, authors of the well known book, Weather Shamanism.

Nan P. Moss, C.S.C., and David Corbin, M.S., C.S.C.,   www.shamanscircle.com, are faculty members of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies (a worldwide organization founded by Michael Harner, Ph.D.) and are certified by the Foundation as shamanic counselors. They teach beginning and advanced courses for the Foundation at locations throughout the Northeast, including Boston and New York City. They also teach the Foundation's most advanced courses, the Two-Week and Three-Year Programs in Advanced Shamanism and Shamanic Healing on the East Coast.

Their interest in the spiritual aspects of weather is a longstanding one, and they have been teaching and doing research on this topic for more than 10 years. They have presented their introductory workshop,
WeatherDancing: Shamanism and the Spirits of Weather, since 1999 in the U.S. and Canada. They have published CloudDancing: Wisdom from the Sky, a set of shamanic divination cards and guidebook using cloud images, as well as two articles on the spirits of weather in Shamanism, the journal of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies. Their new book, Weather Shamanism, is available through Amazon or your local bookstore.

In addition to their training in core shamanism with Michael Harner and the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, Nan and David have also studied with indigenous healers from various cultures, including Siberian, Tuvan, Saami, Chinese, and Native American. They are founding members of the
Society for Shamanic Practitioners.

They have a private shamanic healing and counseling practice in Port Clyde, Maine.

Sandra Ingerman, MA, is the author of eight books including Soul Retrieval, Medicine for the Earth, Shamanic Journeying: A Beginner’s Guide, How to Heal Toxic Thoughts, How to Thrive in Changing Times, and Awakening to the Spirit World: The Shamanic Path of Direct Revelation.  She also has 5 audio programs including    “Shamanic Meditations: Guided Journeys for Insight, Vision, and Healing” and “Soul Journeys: Music for Shamanic Practice”.
Sandra teaches workshops internationally on shamanic journeying, healing, and reversing environmental pollution using spiritual methods.  She has trained and founded an international alliance of Medicine for the Earth Teachers and shamanic teachers.  Sandra is recognized for bridging ancient cross-cultural healing methods into our modern culture addressing the needs of our times.
Sandra is devoted to teaching people how we can work together as a global community to bring about positive change for the planet.
Sandra is a licensed Marriage and Family therapist and Professional Mental Health Counselor. She is also a board certified expert on traumatic stress as well as certified in acute traumatic stress management. She was awarded the 2007 Peace Award from the Global Foundation for Integrative Medicine.
